Westside Future Fund (WFF) appointed Tom Boney, Executive Vice President and President of Novelis North America, to its Board of Directors.
Westside Future Fund is a nonprofit formed by Atlanta’s public, private and philanthropic partners who believe in the future of Atlanta’s Westside and are committed to helping Historic Westside neighborhoods revitalize and develop into a community Dr. King would be proud to call home.
Tom will join other leading Atlanta executives and civic leaders including Dr. Beverly Tatum, President Emerita, Spelman College; Rodney Bullard, Vice President of Community Affairs and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation and, John Gamble, Chief Financial Officer, Equifax. The Coca-Cola Company, in its longstanding commitment to supporting the equitable revitalization of Atlanta’s Historic Westside, appoints a current executive to sit on the board of the Westside Future Fund.
“Joining WFF’s Board of Directors empowers us at Novelis to support the safety, sustainability, and diversity of this historic community,” says Tom. “This is consistent with our approach across the 17 communities where we operate across North America, and we’re excited to leverage this expertise in support of our company’s hometown here in Atlanta.”
Prior to his current role, Tom served as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Novelis North America, where he led the Operations, Sales, Procurement, Recycling and Supply Chain functions for the region. Tom joined Novelis in 2006 as Plant Manager, Oswego, NY, and went on the hold a variety of leadership roles within the company.
