Nicole Moberg Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Thrive Senior Living

Thrive Senior Living announced the appointment of Nicole Moberg to the role of Chief Operating Officer, effective July, 2020. In her new role, Moberg will give leadership to the day-to-day operations for the Thrive portfolio of communities.

Moberg has worked for Thrive Senior Living since early 2018. In her previous role as Chief Sales Officer, Moberg increased Thrive move-ins by 100% year over year. Her impact on occupancy quickly led to additional leadership in multiple operational areas.

“It is so rare to find leaders who know how to drive organizational performance while pairing empathy and accountability. That’s Nicole Moberg,” said Thrive Senior Living President Les Strech. “I don’t believe there is a room she has walked into where she has ever been outworked. She is a process creatrix with people development always set as the cornerstone. Over the last two years, Nicole has led from the trenches – not the towers – to learn the senior living business from the ground up. In addition to serving as an incredible developer of both people and systems, Nicole is a passionate learner with a strong desire to leave a legacy of elevating how older adults are viewed and treated in America.”

In addition to her experience in the senior living industry, Moberg offers a distinct background with insight into the biotechnology and healthcare fields. Prior to joining Thrive, she served as Chief Sales Officer at Millennium Health, a health solutions company, where she led a national sales team.

Previously, Moberg spent a decade teaching at the University of Central Florida (UCF). There, she co-designed its top-five nationally ranked Professional Selling program and received teaching awards for her role in curriculum design, student impact and corporate partnerships. She also served as Business Development Leader for the university’s first Professional MBA Program.

Moberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), an undergraduate focus in business and hospitality management from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU), and a Masters in Change Management from University of Central Florida. Moberg has completed the High Potential Leadership Program from Harvard Business School Executive Education and brings corporate board experience as well as formal training from the University of Washington’s “Women Board Directors Development Program.”

Nicole Moberg is a mom of two, an avid runner, a proud Canadian and serves on the Women in Leadership Committee and LEAD Program Steering Committee of senior living industry leader Argentum.
