Moore Colson Names Partner Robin Samples as Transaction Services Leader

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently named Partner Robin Samples, CPA, as the head of transaction services for the firm’s Consulting Practice

Samples joined Moore Colson as a partner in April 2021, bringing over 20 years of experience working in financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring. In her new role, she will lead growth initiatives for the transaction services practice area while continuing to provide clients with buy-side and sell-side strategic consulting.

Before joining Moore Colson, Samples led the financial due diligence practice in Atlanta for an international tax and financial advisory firm and was the firm’s southeast regional leader of Women’s Inclusion. She has worked on hundreds of transactions across several industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, healthcare, restaurant, retail, professional services and construction. She has also provided both buy- and sell-side financial due diligence to private equity and strategic clients in transactions ranging from $10 million to $1 billion.

“My time with Moore Colson has already been so positive and fulfilling,” noted Samples. “I am incredibly honored that the firm believes in the knowledge and expertise that I bring to this leadership role, and I look forward to finding ways to bring even more value to our clients and the practice.”

“Since joining the firm last year, Robin has quickly shown us that she has the leadership and experience necessary to take our Transaction Services Practice to the next level,” said Partner and Consulting Practice Leader Chris Tierney. “We are excited to watch Robin lead the practice area and continue to grow the level of service we provide our clients.”

Moore Colson’s Consulting Practice leadership has continued to evolve with the firm’s growth and the team’s development. Partner Chris Tierney, CTP, CFE, now leads the Consulting Practice. Tierney took over the leadership role from Partner Tim Ayres, CPA, two years ago as he neared retirement. Ayres officially retired on December 31, 2021, after over 36 years of service and is now a legacy partner of the firm. The Consulting Practice currently offers transaction services, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence and quality of earnings analysis, and special services, including turnaround and restructuring, interim management, forensic accounting, litigation support, debt advisory, mediation and arbitration, lender services, and court and estate fiduciary, among other advisory and consulting services.
