Homrich Berg Expands Family Office Services With the Close of $6.4 Billion RIA WMS Partners Acquisition

HB Wealth Management (HB), a leading Atlanta-based fee-only wealth advisor with offices across the Southeast, announces the close of its acquisition of WMS Partners (WMS), a $6.4 billion AUM RIA headquartered in Towson, Maryland. This strategic transaction enhances HB’s family office service offerings, strengthens its presence in the mid-Atlantic region, and positions the combined firm to better serve ultra-high-net-worth families across the U.S.

Founded in 1993, WMS Partners is a nationally recognized multi-family office specializing in tailored wealth management solutions, investment advisory services, and estate planning. The acquisition incorporates WMS’s skilled team into HB Family Office, reinforcing their shared commitment to delivering high-quality, client-first solutions.

“For us, every firm that joins Homrich Berg must be a cultural fit and share our strong belief in putting clients first through high-touch, fee-only comprehensive wealth management aligned with our core values,” said Thomas Carroll, CEO of Homrich Berg. “With aligned philosophies and a commitment to excellence, we are confident that the addition of WMS will serve as a seamless extension of our mission. Together, we are well-positioned to deliver unparalleled value to ultra-high-net-worth families while expanding our collective impact in the industry.”

This acquisition reinforces HB’s presence as a regional integrator with like-minded, independent RIAs while maintaining its commitment to fiduciary excellence. The combined firm will manage over $24 billion in AUM, creating a strong platform for future growth.

“We are excited to join forces with Homrich Berg, allowing us to scale our operations and leverage HB’s resources while continuing to deliver the same high-quality, personalized experience our clients expect,” said Martin Eby, co-founder and Senior Advisor at WMS Partners.

WMS Partners’ leadership team and advisors will remain in their Towson office, ensuring continuity for clients and employees. The addition of WMS extends HB’s footprint to include 10 offices across five states with more than 300 team members.
