HealthMPowers welcomes five new members to its Board of Directors. New members are Gerry Halphen, Pat Hickok, Jasmine Hoffman, Nicole Mosley and Sonya Tinsley-Hook.
“Our board is made up of a dedicated group of leaders in various professions who are committed to our mission,” said Jennifer L. Owens, President, HealthMPowers. “The five newest members are eager to bring their unique expertise and talents to the board. They have rolled up their sleeves and jumped right in to help move the needle forward as we continue to support families, communities and educators across Georgia gain access to fresh fruits, vegetables and opportunities to engage in physical activity.”
Gerry Halphen
Launch Consulting Group
Gerry brings 17+ years of product development, sales and operations, project management and communication and facilitation expertise to the board. He is a results-oriented servant-leader skilled at inspiring people, optimizing processes and using technology and data to solve complex problems. Prior roles have included management positions at Thrive Performance, The Network, Andersen Consulting, McKesson and Macy’s. An Army Veteran, Gerry is enthusiastic about physical activity and is an accomplished triathlete, triathlon coach and spinning instructor.

Pat is a community leader and retired business owner with 40+ years of retail and community banking experience. He’s launched multiple successful businesses that include Hickok’s Sporting Goods, Hickok’s Team Sports and Atlanta Embroidery & Twill. He’s served as a Director of Mountain National Bank and chaired several committees. He’s also served three years on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. He is a proud Life Member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association.
Jasmine Hoffman, MBA, APR

Jasmine is an award-winning professional and has received numerous honors from the Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators, Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. In 2010, she earned Emory University’s Award of Distinction—the highest honor for staff who have demonstrated professional excellence and service. In her current role, she is responsible for admissions, financial aid, student affairs, career services, HR, IT, operations, marketing and communications. Hoffman earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Alabama. She attained Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America in 2010.
Nicole Mosley

McClure Health Science High School
Nicole brings two decades of educational expertise to the board. She earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Alabama, a master’s degree in social science education from Georgia State University, a leadership add-on certification from the University of Georgia and an educational specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Piedmont College. She’s held positions as a middle and high school teacher, a middle and high school vice principal, and now a high school principal. Her board membership brings valuable insight into teaching, learning and school engagement.
