“We are seeing the highest number of employed Georgians in our state’s history,” said Commissioner Mark Butler. “Looking towards the new year, our focus is on attracting more people to join the workforce in 2022.”
The labor force saw an increase in Atlanta Regional Commission, Coastal GA, GA Mountains, Middle GA, Northeast GA, Northwest GA, and Three Rivers.
Employment was up in all GA regional commissions.

Atlanta Regional Commission – Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale counties.

The November preliminary unemployment rate was down three-tenths to 2.2 percent o-t-m, the rate was 6.0 percent one year ago.
