Southeast Beach Express, a direct air service connecting Atlanta with Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, begins flights on June 3, 2021. Flights will be operated daily Thursday through Sunday on 30-seat executive jets.
Southeast Beach Express features all the amenities of private air, including executive terminal departures and arrivals, hassle-free security screening, 15-minute pre-boarding show-times, and no-cost luggage. Flights to the beach will depart from Hawthorne Aviation at Cobb County Airport in NW Atlanta, with all fares priced at $590 round- trip, inclusive of all taxes and fees. Total flight time is just one hour.
“We developed Southeast Beach Express to meet the demand for quicker and more convenient access to Gulf Coast beaches, specifically Gulf Shores and Orange Beach,” says Jay Taffet, founder of Southeast Beach Express. “Travel time with us is a fraction of the time spent in the car or traveling by airlines, especially considering the traffic congestion approaching the beach or driving from the Pensacola and Mobile airports. Modern travel should be quick, hassle-free and affordable, and we think we’ve achieved that with Southeast Beach Express.”
Southeast Beach Express is operated by Ultimate Jetcharters, an industry-ranked, FAA-approved public charter operator that has been operating its own direct, scheduled routes for over a decade.
Ultimate Jetcharters has won the highest safety accreditations in the industry, and operates all its flights with two pilots and a cabin attendant. Ultimate’s flights are listed online through third-party booking sites, just like the airlines, and their passenger security program complies with TSA regulations.
“Visitors from the Atlanta area will experience all the public charter amenities we offer that will make their travel to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach stress-free,” says John Gordon, Founder and President of Ultimate Jetcharters. “Those amenities include fast hassle-free booking, up-close free parking, no baggage fees and, best of all, arriving 15 minutes before boarding. They will be talking about their flight experience to Gulf Shores more than the vacation itself!”
Alabama’s Gulf Coast is one of America’s premier vacation destinations, with over 6.5 million annual visitors, and Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism has partnered with Southeast Beach Express towards optimizing visitor travel to its beaches.
“Our area has long been a favorite destination for people from surrounding drive markets,” says Herb Malone, President and CEO of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism. “During peak summer season, that often means traffic backups and delays along the interstate routes to the beach. Southeast Beach Express flights servicing three key markets – Atlanta, Nashville and Baton Rouge – is a great way to attract visitors wanting a quicker way to Alabama’s beaches.”
Ticket sales begin today at beach-express.com, with the first scheduled flights projected for June 3rd.
