Celebrate the Start of Summer with May Events at The Works

The Works is gearing up for a fun filled summer with a variety of family-friendly and outdoor events in May. From live music to comedy under the stars to Cinco de Mayo festivities and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Upper Westside’s largest mixed-use gathering place.


The full May events lineup is outlined below:


Town + Culture presents How We Become
Visit The Works for a special exhibit featuring five Atlanta-based female artists with a diverse mix of artwork. The exhibit explores the unique stories and authentic voices of the artists Chanell Angeli, Roxane Hollosi, Stephanie Jordan-Renz, Uruba Slaughter, Sophia Sobrino and sculptures by Andrea McKenzie. Cinco de Mayo Cocktail Workshop
Join Adelina Social Goods and Chattahoochee Food Works for an evening of crafting (and sipping on!) cocktails as you learn tips and tricks to make three Cinco de Mayo cocktails. Guests will receive a take-home cocktail kit from Adelina Social Goods with mixers, garnishes and recipe cards to recreate your favorite cocktails at home as well as 20% off any purchase made at Adelina Social Goods that evening. HERMARKET Preview Pop-Up
Gather your friends and head to The Works for a special HERMARKET Preview Pop-Up at The Makers Building! HERMARKET was founded by Jazlin Pitts and Kia Perry and serves as a platform for women-owned indie brands with the purpose of connecting these brands with shoppers through market-style, pop-up experiences. All products on-site will be marked down to 50% off with the purchase of HERMARKET lychee martini at the Center Bar in Chattahoochee Food Works. Enjoy tunes by DJ Sed the Saint as part of an all-female DJ lineup for Mother’s Day weekend and special photo opportunities. Comedy in The Camp
Get ready to laugh until you cry with Comedy in The Camp! Local showrunner and comedian, Damon Sumner, rounds up some of Atlanta’s brightest talent for a night full of endless laughter. Enjoy social commentary and personal anecdotes from a diverse lineup of performers in a socially-distanced outdoor setting. Ladies Night: Floral Workshop
Join Adelina Social Goods for a ladies night with cocktails, charcuterie and a floral arranging lesson! The florist from Lineage Florals will guide guests through each step of the process to create a personalized flower arrangement.
