The Atlanta Children’s Shelter (ACS) will host its annual Women’s Giving Luncheon on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The luncheon connects, empowers, and inspires executive leaders in Atlanta’s business community to make an impact through philanthropy. 2021 marks a milestone service anniversary for the Shelter, and this year’s theme is “Mission in Action – 35 Years of Impact.” This year, the event will again be held virtually out of an abundance of precaution due to the global pandemic.
“Celebrating the Shelter’s 35 years of service to the Atlanta community gives us the opportunity to thank all of our partners, supporters, and donors that have built the Shelter into the community cornerstone that it is today,” says Sandra Holiday, Executive Director of ACS. “It is also a reflection point for commemorating the thousands of homeless families for which the Shelter has broken the cycle of poverty. And finally, it is a moment to challenge ourselves to do more in these difficult times. The Women’s Giving Luncheon is an invitation to all women to join us in lifting women and children out of poverty.”
Registration for the event is now open at www.acsatl.org, and there is no cost to attend. Guests can enjoy their lunch at home or in the office while hearing personal testimonials from the Achiever and Legacy Honorees about their journey out of homelessness to self-sufficiency with the assistance of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter. Guests will also hear a keynote address, a Shelter update, and more.
