DC BLOX Ranks on the Inc. 5000 for Third Year in a Row

DC BLOX, a provider of multi-tenant data centers, dark fiber, and connectivity solutions that deliver essential infrastructure to power today’s digital businesses, is excited to announce its inclusion for the third-year in a row on Inc. Magazine’s 2023 Inc. 5000 list, and its recognition as a Visionary Spotlight Award honoree from ChannelVision Magazine for “Rural and Underserved Connectivity.”

DC BLOX builds Tier III data centers with robust connectivity to serve enterprises, content organizations, government entities, contractors, education, healthcare and managed service providers in local markets, as well as enabling underserved and rural communities. These accolades underpin DC BLOX’s status as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation, as well as its reputation as a leading provider of data center and network services to businesses in growing markets across the Southeastern United States.

Started in 1982, Inc. Magazine’s prestigious list has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success. Making the Inc. 5000 list for the third year in a row is an achievement that marks DC BLOX’s continuous growth and place amongst the top companies in the country. The Southeast-based data center company ranks in the top half percent of all privately owned companies for overall expansion, both financial and material. DC BLOX and other honorees will be recognized at the Inc. 5000 Conference & Awards Ceremony in San Antonio, TX, in October.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by business and industry peers and to yet again make the Inc. 5000 list this year,” says Jeff Uphues, CEO of DC BLOX. “Over the past year, we have taken strides to grow DC BLOX’s data center and network footprint to better enable the delivery of global data connectivity. We’re heartened to be featured amongst such impressive peers on the Inc. 5000 list, and will use this inspiration to continue enabling digital transformation for customers across our markets.”

ChannelVision Magazine’s Visionary Spotlight Award (VSA) recognizes DC BLOX’s work in providing affordable and reliable broadband and connectivity options for typically underserved communities in the Southeast. The list includes other high level digital infrastructure companies that have gone above and beyond to ensure that marginalized communities are not ignored and receive the access they need to join the digital commerce world.

“The pandemic only enhanced a digital divide that was a growing issue. Over that same timespan, we have invested in digital infrastructure that brings regional and global connectivity closer to these communities Receiving the Visionary Spotlight Award showcases our commitment to enabling underserved communities as we work toward our vision to Connect Globally, Serve Locally,” says Uphues.

DC BLOX continues to be a leader in providing reliable and secure Tier III-designed data centers, connectivity services, and dark fiber solutions to businesses in growing markets across the Southeast. Additionally, the company is building a new, high-capacity 500-mile terrestrial dark fiber route that will be the first East-to-West fiber path from South Carolina to Georgia. Their 15 megawatt Cable Landing Station, which will be a vital connectivity hub for the region, is now open for business in Myrtle Beach.
