Two Sparrows Village, provider of a supportive living environment for adults with intellectual disabilities within an inclusive community, announces Bird Bash 2022, their annual event celebrating their progress. The event will be held on November 17th, 2022 from 6:30 PM until 10:00 PM.
Bird Bash 2022 will be an evening filled with entertainment, a dining and wine-tasting experience, and multiple auction opportunities. Join internationally renowned vintner and a pioneering force for organic and sustainable wines, Chris Benziger, as we enjoy wines from the Benziger Estate in Sonoma, California paired artfully with amazing culinary delights from ENZO Italian Steakhouse & Bar featuring Chef Andrea Montobbio. Welcome cocktails courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
Two Sparrows Village believes all adults should have opportunities for an independent life consistent with their individual capabilities. All proceeds of this evening go straight to benefit the residents and operations of Two Sparrows Village at Christian City.
Two Sparrows Village’s purpose is to create communities where adults with disabilities can discover a world of possibilities and achieve independence according to their abilities. We want to provide opportunities for life-long learning, meaningful friendships, and opportunities to contribute to their communities. Their core values are community integration, abundant living, and inclusiveness.
The nonprofit was founded on May 1, 2017, with a simple vision: to provide a supportive
living environment for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism to thrive. They are a neuro-diverse intentional co-housing community that promotes greater independence and high quality of life experience for adults differently abled.
Two Sparrows Executive Director, Jacquelyn Thornton, says, “Our mission is to provide equity and inclusion to our residents and allow them to be the best version of themselves and not simply identified as having an intellectual impairment.”
