Swift Currie Continues Growth in Atlanta and Birmingham With Four Attorneys in March

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, announces the addition of four attorneys in its Atlanta and Birmingham offices. Joining as associates in Atlanta are Anna Diaz-Caballero, Vanessa Francois and Kayla McCallum. Elizabeth Pittman joins as an associate in Birmingham. The additions mark 10 new attorneys announced in 2022.

Anna Diaz-Caballero joins the coverage and commercial litigation team as a six-year associate. She represents clients in state and federal courts on insurance defense matters. She also is experienced in managing employment matters, and her experience includes developing and managing severance agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, revising employee handbooks and HR policies and restrictive covenant agreements. Diaz-Caballero earned her undergraduate degree from University of Georgia and her law degree from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law.
Vanessa Francois joins the litigation team as a second-year associate. Her practice focuses on insurance defense in automobile litigation, transportation litigation and premises liability. She represents insurance companies in state and federal court. Francois is experienced managing first-party property, bad faith and other insurance coverage and defense matters. She works with corporate representatives, adjusters and engineers to resolve claims pre-suit and during litigation. Francois earned her undergraduate degree from University of Florida and her law degree from University of Florida Levin College of Law.
 
Kayla McCallum joins the coverage and commercial litigation team as a second-year associate. She handles insurance defense claims, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability. McCallum also works closely with claims adjusters throughout the entire litigation process. She started her legal career as a public defender for Walton County. McCallum earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.
 
Elizabeth Pittman joins the litigation team as a fourth-year associate in our Birmingham office. She represents clients in state and federal courts on matters related to products liability, transportation litigation and premises liability. Pitman previously served as an extern at the Federal Trade Commission where she worked with injured customers and drafted legal briefs on antitrust and consumer protection issues. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and her law degree from Emory University School of Law.
