The local, nonprofit media company which operates a television station, radio station and websites–all with different identities–will soon have the same brand: WABE.
It is the “strongest brand” the company has, said Jennifer Dorian, president and CEO of the newly-named WABE, in an interview with Atlanta Business Chronicle. Those call letters date back to 1948 and are tied to its radio property, National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate 90.1FM, a broadcast partner of Atlanta Business Chronicle.
