CMT Agency Announces New Owner and CEO, Kelley Strong

Today CMT Agency, the premier, world-class staffing company that provides talent to businesses and brands at conferences, brand activations, adult beverage tastings and promotional events, has a new president and CEO. Kelley Strong will lead the 21-year-old company as the world begins to re-open post COVID-19 and hold in-person events and large-scale tradeshows. Strong plans to grow CMT Agency’s cloud-based database of more than 25,000 professionals to more than 35,000 this year and provide high quality talent for events and retail demonstrations around the world.

Strong has 35 years of experience in planning and managing international and national events for large companies. She also owns and runs PlanIt Strong, an event planning agency that designs and produces incentive and corporate meetings and events for domestic and global businesses. Strong has worked with a variety of international corporations like American Express, WorldTravel Meetings and Incentives and Czarnowski. In addition, she has produced client events surrounding PGA Tournaments, Olympic Games, product launches, a private dinner at the Vatican, large-scale corporate Super Bowl events and more.

Despite the pandemic placing events on hold, Strong decided to purchase CMT Agency because she saw incredible growth opportunity and demand for the business as companies begin to return to in-person events. With her extensive background in event planning, she believed she could continue to staff talent and attract new opportunities for the agency now and into the future.

“Managing a staffing company is something I’ve never imagined myself doing, but so far I’ve enjoyed diving into business operations and management,” Strong said. “My resilient and innovative staff has already shifted their strategies to accommodate COVID-19 guidelines. My goal for 2021 is to improve and build upon the company’s ongoing successes to attract new clients, partners and talent, as well as position CMT to be a more active community partner,” she added.

CMT Agency currently has a database of more than 25,000 professionals who hail from over 52 countries and speak multiple languages. The agency has adult beverage retailer preferred relationships across the country that target an average of 60 consumers per event and a 27% conversion rate of bottles sold. This year, the agency plans to gain more clients in the alcohol and liquor industries, large tradeshows where they are the preferred staffing provider as well as experiential companies and more.
