Steve Dils, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Atlanta office, today announced that Wendy Blissett, CCIM, and Precious Carter, CPM, RPA, FMA, have been named Avison Young Principals based in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Avison Young is led by more than 600 Principals across the globe, and each year welcomes a new class of owners in the firm. As a private company, Avison Young Principals have a say in the future direction of the business and are invested in clients’ success, thinking for the long-term.

Wendy Blissett has been with the company for four years, joining Avison Young when it acquired Hotel Assets Group in January 2017. Blissett specializes in individual hotel assets, including select service and full-service hotels.

Blissett began her career in commercial real estate with an Atlanta-based hotel brokerage firm in 1994, concentrating on client relations, sales support and hotel market research. She has been involved in disposition transactions of varying sizes and holds a wide range of experience in individual hotel assets, as well as complicated portfolio transactions valued over $100 million. She is a graduate of Georgia State University and holds the prestigious CCIM industry designation.

“It’s an honor to be joining Avison Young’s 2021 Principal Class alongside other industry leaders,” said Blissett. “The Principal-led culture at Avison Young is unlike any other company I’ve seen and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the organization’s growth in the years to come.”

Precious Carter joined the Avison Young family in 2011 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Property Management, specializing in property and asset management.

Precious began her commercial real estate career in 1995 and has developed a proven track record of partnering with clients to achieve and enhance their fiscal operations through effective management practices, equating to long-term renewals and increased asset value. Carter is a graduate of Georgia State University and is member of many prestigious organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). She holds CPM, FMA and RPA designations, and is a licensed real estate professional in Georgia.

“Avison Young’s company culture and workplace environment is one of a kind, a precedent set by the current Principals,” said Carter. “As Principal, I hope to strengthen the company’s consistently excellent customer service and continue attracting the best tenants and talent in the Atlanta area.”

“Wendy and Precious have both added tremendous value to our company over the years, exceeding standards and leading their prospective teams even during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dils. “Avison Young’s Principal-owned and client-focused approach allows our teams to drive economic impact in a variety of sectors in metro Atlanta and globally.”

Avison Young Principals are industry leaders who exemplify the firm’s partnership structure, collaborative culture and client-centric business model. In addition, Principals have distinguished themselves in their fields of expertise while embracing the company’s commitment to creating real economic, social and environmental value.
