For the second consecutive year, the team representing Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business took second place in the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Graduate Case Competition sponsored by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), group’s annual meeting, extending the college’s legacy of finishing in the top three more often than any other business school in the past decade.
The Robinson team, composed of MBA students Brian Edoimoiya, Pratiksha Khadka, Dustin Reese and Daniel Ward, won best school spirit, with Reese named best presenter. Professor Subhashish Samaddar of the Department of Management advised the team.
Held annually during the NBMBAA conference, the competition challenges student teams to analyze a complex business case and present solutions to business problems facing FCA. Each team has four weeks to create a feasible, data-backed solution.
This year, FCA tasked competitors with assuming the role of a consulting firm advising a hypothetical automotive client about how to best use dealer digital retailing solutions in accordance with state franchise laws.
Thirty-six teams participated and the Robinson team received a $15,000 scholarship.
